WHAT IS A MICRO-GRANT?
A Pufferfish micro-grant is a monetary investment awarded to exemplary youth business owners. The money must be used towards business expenses. Recipients will be eligible for an additional $25 stipend upon completion of an exit survey.

DOES THE RECIPIENT HAVE TO PAY THE MONEY BACK?
No, the grant does not need to be repaid. 

HOW ARE APPLICANTS ASSESSED?
Applicants will be assessed on:
- Viability of their business or business idea
- Creativity and ingenuity of the product or service
- Positive impact of the business on its community or in the world 
- Financial need will be prioritized

WHO CAN APPLY?
Applicants must be between the ages of 5-17 and have a business or a business idea.

HOW MUCH ARE THE GRANTS?
Grants range between $100-$500.

WHEN IS THE APPLICATION WINDOW?
We accept applications on a rolling basis, so applicants can apply year-round.

CAN APPLICANT APPLY FOR MORE THAN ONE GRANT?
A business is eligible for one micro-grant per year.

HOW WILL PAYMENTS BE ISSUED?
Grant payments and stipends will be sent using Venmo or Paypal.
